Bigstone Health Commission in Edmonton, AB is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and dependable Dental Benefits Adjudicator to join our talented Health Team. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess and manually adjudicate dental benefit requests.
- Act as an advocate for all BCN members of the health benefits program.
- Work with the members and service providers in a pleasant and efficient manner.
- Provide program information, advice, and assistance to members and service providers.
- Assist with manual invoice preparation, accounts receivable tracking, and related documentation.
- Maintain database and provider files.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Working knowledge of invoicing and account receivable processes.
- Dependable, organized, and accountable.
Education and Experience:
- Dental Office Assistant Certificate/Training or equivalent is a requirement.
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree, and or equivalent training and combined experience.
- Minimum 2 years work experience in an office/medical/or dental setting.
- Knowledge of the Non-Insured Health Benefits programs is an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Standard First Aid with CPR.
