Bigstone Lot 25 Corporation is seeking a highly organized and motivated Maintenance & Capital Assets Supervisor to oversee facility maintenance operations and manage capital assets across multiple sites. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance staff, ensuring efficient building operations, and maintaining accurate asset records while supporting the delivery of quality services to the Bigstone Cree Nation. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities while promoting a culture of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance and custodial staff across multiple facilities
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, including work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Maintain and manage a computerized capital asset inventory system
- Develop and maintain building and housing file systems and databases
- Track, reconcile, and report maintenance requests, tickets, and operational documentation
- Coordinate procurement of maintenance supplies and services in collaboration with purchasing
- Ensure compliance with reporting, auditing, licensing, and quality assurance requirements
- Support housing operations, including unit assignments, rental agreements, and tenant coordination
- Maintain up-to-date insurance records and asset documentation
- Provide administrative and operational support to senior management as required
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed
- Other duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or asset management
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is required
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, asset tracking, and facility operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and computerized tracking systems
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
