MASSAGE THERAPIST
One (1) Contractor Position
Wabasca, Alberta
The Bigstone Community Wellness department is seeking an experienced and motivated Massage Therapist to join our talented Health Team in Wabasca, Alberta. This is a rewarding opportunity if you have an appreciation for Indigenous culture, a desire for continuing professional development and enjoy the support and collaboration from our multidisciplinary team and various other professionals and agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- A contract position, working 10 days per month for one year
- Must be able to accept direct billing
- Must have their own supplies
- A working space with a massage table, chair, and towel warmer could be provided by the Client (BHC) if needed
- Must be willing to travel to community for services
- Fee is negotiable
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming treatment environment
- Uphold high standards of client care and professionalism
- Must be culturally sensitive, aware, and informed about First Nations
- Other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- Must be registered and certified
- Must have valid liability insurance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, reliable, and client-focused approach
- Must have an up to date: Cover Letter, Resume (including 3 work related references), Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check & Child & Youth Intervention Check.
