RECEPTIONIST
One (1) Temporary Full Time
(Maternity Leave Coverage) – Until February 2026

Bigstone Community Wellness is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and dependable Temporary Full-Time Receptionist to join our talented Health Team for the Bigstone communities in which we serve in Wabasca, Calling Lake, and Chipewyan Lake. This is a rewarding opportunity if you have an appreciation for Indigenous culture, a desire for continuing professional development and enjoy the support and collaboration from our multidisciplinary team and various other professionals and agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Greet and effectively communicate with all visitors/clients.
· General office duties: filing, typing correspondence/reports, take minutes at meetings and maintain filing system.
· Receive, direct, and take messages from incoming callers in a professional and friendly manner.
· Liaise with clients/visitors, respond, and refer to appropriate team members.
· Schedule, notify and remind clients for appointments.
· Receive and record incoming and outgoing mail.
· Complete photocopying and faxing assignments as required.
· Must be flexible and available on short notice.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Good organizational skills, make sound decisions and act quickly in critical circumstances
· Good knowledge of office procedures, data collection and reporting
· Be extremely observant to detail and accuracy.
· Must be able to work in a diverse environment
· Good written and oral communication skills
· Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision
· Maintain confidentiality in accordance with BHC policy
· Ability to speak Cree is an asset
Education and Experience:
· Office Administration Certificate or equivalent.
· Two (2) years office experience
· Must be a team player who is flexible and adaptable to change.
· Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
· Provide own transportation.
· Willing to attend training as required.
· Knowledge of Indigenous culture and language is a definite asset.
