REFERRAL CLERKS

The Bigstone Referral Unit in Wabasca, Alberta is seeking two (2) casual Referral Clerks to join our talented Bigstone Referral Unit team. This is a rewarding opportunity if you have an appreciation for Indigenous culture, a desire for continuing professional development and enjoy the support and collaboration from our multidisciplinary team and various other professionals and agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer switchboard.
- Schedule trips out of town and locally
- MTRS/MTDS data entry daily.
- Arrange flights.
- Arrange out-of-town accommodations
- Arrange out of town taxi/bus services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good knowledge of office procedures
- Be extremely observant to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to work in a diverse environment with frequent interruptions.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Confidentiality is strictly enforced.
- Develop strong relationships and work cooperatively with drivers and clients.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to type 35 wpm.
- Experience with MS Office databases and other related software applications.
Education and Experience:
- High School Education is an asset.
- 2 years Clerical experience required.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to do shift work (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Speak and understand the Cree language is an asset.
