The Bigstone Referral Unit in Wabasca, Alberta is seeking two (2) Casual Referral Clerks to join our talented Bigstone Referral Unit team. This is a rewarding opportunity if you have an appreciation for Indigenous culture, a desire for continuing professional development and enjoy the support and collaboration from our multidisciplinary team and various other professionals and agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Answer switchboard
• Schedule trips out of town and locally
• MTRS/MTDS data entry daily
• Arrange flights
• Arrange out-of-town accommodations
• Arrange out of town taxi/bus services
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Good knowledge of office procedures
• Be extremely observant to detail and accuracy
• Must be able to work in a diverse environment with frequent interruptions
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision
• Confidentiality is strictly enforced
• Develop strong relationships and work cooperatively with drivers and clients
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to type 35 wpm
• Experience with MS Office databases and other related software applications
Education and Experience:
• High School Education is an asset
• 2 years Clerical experience required
• Must be able to do shift work (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
• Speak and understand the Cree language is an asset
• Must have reliable transportation
